Slack integration

Co-workers constantly asking you to do stuff in Slack? Ours too. So we built a Slack integration to quickly capture those items in Taskable

When you come across a message that requires a followup:

Step 1: Hover over the message, and you'll see a menu pop up. Click on the three vertical dots.

Step 2: Scroll down to where it says 'Create an Action (Taskable)'. If you don't see it there, click on 'More message shortcuts' and you'll find it there. After you've used it once or twice, then Taskable will show at the top of this list.

Step 3: Add a title and a description (optional). The description will auto populate with whichever message you created a task from.

Step 4: Find the newly created Slack task in your Taskable Inbox on your board

How to set it up

Step 2: Click Add an integration, then select Slack on the dropdown

Step 3: If you are part of multiple Slacks, be sure to select the workspace you'd like to add, then click allow. Note: you can add as many instances of Slack as you'd like.

Step 4: Head over to Slack and add your first task to test it out. Note - sometimes you'll need to refresh Slack right after adding Taskable for it to appear in the menu.

You can refer to this video tutorial on how to integrate:

Please note that for the moment, we are not on the approved apps with Slack. We do assure you that this integration is safe and tested, and we are working on getting it approved with Slack.

Frequently asked questions

Can I set up multiple Slack accounts?

Yes, absolutely. Set up as many as you'd like.

I already have too many Slack apps set up on my workspace

If you are on a free Slack plan you are limited to 10 apps across your workspace. If you are an admin, you can delete a Slack app you are no longer using. If not an admin, then you'll have to let them know Taskable is about to make you 10x more productive so they should definitely let you add Taskable.
