The GitHub integration syncs all issues and pull requests assigned to you in GitHub to your Taskable Inbox. We also have two-way syncing between GitHub and Taskable, meaning the following title, description, and done status will always be up to date in both tools.

For more information, you can check out our GitHub integration post here.

How to set up the GitHub integration

Step 2: Select the GitHub button

Step 3: Select which GitHub account you'd like to set up

Step 4: If you are part of an organization, you'll need to request permission from your admin to add the Taskable integration*

Step 5: Click accept

Step 6 (optional): Scroll down to the newly created integration, and sync any existing issues and pull requests - you can select to sync everything from one week prior, one month prior, or all existing open tasks.

Step 5: Find the newly created GitHub issues and pull requests in your Taskable Inbox on your board

* For your organizational approval - once you request permission, your admin will be notified that a user has requested permission to use this app. Once approved, you'll be notified by email that it's been approved. Then go back to Taskable, and click on the GitHub button again and we'll find any newly approved repos for you.

How the GitHub integration works

πŸ†• Once set up, we'll start any new issues and pull requests assigned to you in GitHub to Taskable.

βͺ You can import existing issues and pull requests once you've set up the integration. You can even choose how far back you want to sync from.

πŸ”„ Two way syncing means changes made in GitHub or in Taskable will sync. This includes due date, description, and marked as closed or done.
